The safety and well-being of our patients and staff is our highest priority. As such, we are monitoring the situation around the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and will keep our patients informed as matters develop. At this time, our services will remain available for those in need of DNA testing as our partnering laboratory, LabCorp, continues to be open. LabCorp will maintain the cleanliness of their patient service centers and take extra sanitizing precautions during this time.
We know that DNA paternity tests are not medically necessary, and we understand if you would like to reschedule appointments for a later date. If our clients wish to reschedule, we will gladly accommodate them for a later time at no additional cost to the patient. If you are feeling ill, we ask that you kindly consider others and reschedule your DNA test appointment.
If you feel uncomfortable coming into our office, we also offer home DNA testing kits that can be shipped directly to your home. The at Home DNA testing results are just as accurate as the tests performed inside of a facility. However, home paternity test kits cannot hold up for court purposes.
If you need paternity testing now, but would rather do our home testing kit to avoid going into public, we will offer a discounted rate on our court admissible test in the future. We know many parents are very anxious to get testing results right away, but may not feel comfortable getting out at this time.
LabCorp’s headquarters is also running the testing for COVID-19. However, collections are not performed at their local patient service centers. They are asking that all patients needing this test have a sample collected from their physician or local doctor’s office. The physician will then send the samples directly to LabCorp’s main lab for the testing of the sample.
